2 Wings Earn Post Season Honors

Two of the 2009 Geneva Red Wings were granted post season honors this past week. The 2009 NYCBL post season All-Star team was named and Dan Pembroke (Dowling College) was named to the 2nd team at 1st Base. Dan played in all 43 games for Wings this past season hitting .285 with a OPS of .853. He drove in 21 batters and broke the Red Wing single season doubles record with 14 wall-bangers. He also anchored the team at first with a .981 fielding percentage.

Will Harford (University of Notre Dame) was listed on the “Top 25 Pro Prospects” list for the NYCBL. Will was listed at #25 for the league. The 6′0″ 180lb. Irish Senior lead the team in average at .315 and hits with 46 including 11 doubles which led to a a solid .753 OPS. He manned the hot corner for the Wings all season playing in 41 of 43 games.

Congratulations to both Dan and Will for being recognized by the coaches and the scouts involved with the NYCBL.
