On Thursday, July 6th, the visiting Jamestown Jammers (24-5) defeated the hosting Geneva Red Wings (18-11) by a final tally of 11-1.
Jamestown started off hot, scoring in their first five offensive frames. Four different Jammers finished the night with three hits or more, including catcher Christ Conley (Canisius), Ben Brookover (UTSA), Skyler Valentine (UTSA), and John Conti (Canisius). The Jammers finished with 16 hits overall.
For Geneva, TJ Byrd (Rend Lake) had the lone RBI of the night with a pinch hit single in the bottom of the ninth frame.
Red Wings starter Jordan Murphy (UT Dallas) was slated with the loss, throwing 5.0 innings and giving up seven earned runs. For Jamestown, Cory Blessing (Ohio) earned the win with 6.0 scoreless innings of work.
The Red Wings return to action on Friday night, where they will travel to Dunn Field to take on the Elmira Pioneers (14-14).
