GENEVA, NY: The Red Wings started their home campaign off strong, defeating the Adirondack Trailblazers 4-1 and earning the two game weekend sweep. Winning pitcher Sean Lu

Starting pitcher Sean Lubreski (NJIT) held the Trailblazers hitless for the first 4 innings until Bradley Roberto hit a single into shallow right field. Geneva was able to solve the Trailblazers starting pitcher Kyle Smith with a single in the first and a few other hits in the early innings, but it wasn’t until the fifth inning that they managed to get on the scoreboard. After Brian Knapp’s (Pomona College) two-run shot the Red Wings were able to tack on two more runs, taking advantage of six walks and two Trailblazer Errors to earn their second win of the season. Adirondack managed to get on the scoreboard late with a run in the ninth inning, but it wouldn’t be enough as they lost their second game in a row to the Geneva Red Wings.

The Wings will travel to Jamestown to take on the Jammers on Sunday June 3 with the first pitch at 4:05. The Red Wings will be back home on Tuesday June 5 to take on their rival Newark Pilots, with first pitch at 7:05.
