BATAVIA, NY- Geneva’s week-long road trip started with a pitstop to Manager Thomas Eaton’s old stomping grounds in Batavia.

Geneva started hot, jumping out to an early 3-1 lead heading into the 3rd inning with singles from Jaden Madrid and Chase Fogg. Zach Banks added a SAC fly to help score Madrid. The Red Wings would put up 6 more runs in the 4th inning, before adding 3 more in the 6th. The early offensive was highlighted by 2 RBIs from Jaden Madrid, 3 from Aiken Santana, and 2 more from Braden Freeman.
Jack Turner had a gritty performance on the mound, going 5.1 innings with 3 strikeouts. Turner added 2 walks, serving as the Red Wings' designated hitter on the night as well.
The Muckdogs, however, climbed back and took the momentum, scoring 12 unanswered runs to walk off the Red Wings, who will travel to Elmira tomorrow to take on the Pioneers with a first pitch scheduled for 4:00 pm.
