GENEVA RED WINGS ANNOUNCE FIRST 15 PLAYERS ON 2025 ROSTER

GENEVA, NY- The Geneva Red Wings are thrilled to announce their first 15 signings for the 2025 Summer season. The Red Wings return four faces, including infielder Christian Bermudez, pitcher Cole Litman, pitcher Michael Bokis, and catcher Tyler Skaggs.
Plenty of new faces are joining the Red Wings this season alongside new manager Thomas Eaton and assistant coach Sean Ladd. The Red Wings finished 2024 with a 14-25 record, finishing 6th in the West Division, and will look to make a run at the PGCBL Playoffs this season.
Christian Bermudez is a redshirt junior infielder from Rider University. A native of East Brunswick, NJ, Bermudez suits up for his second season with the Red Wings. In 2024, the fan-favorite Bermudez appeared in 24 games for the Red Wings, tallying 9 hits and scoring 7 runs. He has appeared in 9 games for Rider this season.
Cole Litman is a senior right-handed pitcher at Allegheny College, returning to the Red Wings for his second season from Youngstown, OH. Litman appeared in 11 games for the Red Wings, picking up 2 wins in 20.1 innings pitched. Litman also collected 15 strikeouts with the Red Wings last season. Litman appeared in 4 games and 2.2 innings at Allegheny this season.
Michael Bokis is a junior right-handed pitcher attending Franklin Pierce University. Bokis takes the mound with the Red Wings for his second season from North Brookfield, MA. Bokis appeared in 16 games and pitched 29 innings for the Red Wings last season, collecting 26 strikeouts and picking up 1 win and 2 saves. Bokis appeared in 4 games and 4 innings with 5 strikeouts at Franklin Pierce in the 2024 season.
Tyler Skaggs is a junior catcher at Allegheny College. Skaggs provides a familiar face behind the dish for the Red Wings, appearing in 20 games last season. Skaggs tallied 13 hits and drove in 12 RBIs for the Red Wings. This season for Allegheny, Skaggs appeared in 36 games with 38 hits, 30 runs scored, and 21 RBIs.
Zach Banks is a redshirt freshman centerfielder from Embry-Riddle University. A native of Daytona Beach, FL, Banks brings plenty of speed to the basepath for the Red Wings. Last Summer with the Rochester Ridgemen of the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL), Banks was named an NYCBL All-Star and led the league with 29 stolen bases. Banks was also tied for a league lead in batting average (.410) and triples (5). He was also tied 5th with 43 hits and 3rd in runs scored with 38 in 34 games.
Aiken Santana is a redshirt junior third baseman who joins the Red Wings from Embry-Riddle University and Orlando, FL. Santana is a fantastic defender on the hot corner. Last Summer with the Rochester Ridgemen of the NYCBL, Santana was named an NYCBL All-Star and tied for the league lead in triples (5). Santana appeared in 17 games for Embry-Riddle this season, with 11 hits and 5 RBIs.
Jaden Madrid is a junior infielder from Emmanuel University. Madrid, a native of Greece, NY, brings plenty of great defense to the Red Wings' infield. In two seasons at Herkimer Community College, Madrid has appeared in 79 games, collecting 87 hits and scoring 104 runs. Madrid has driven in 49 RBIs and stolen 49 bases with a career batting average of .372 during his time at Herkimer.
Chase Fogg is a redshirt junior shortstop from Queens University of Charlotte and adds some extra speed to the Red Wings lineup. The Warwick, NY native appeared in 21 games, tallying 5 hits and 2 RBIs at Queens University of Charlotte this season.
Michael Ucci is a junior catcher attending Nichols College. Ucci will add a cannon of an arm behind the plate for the Red Wings this season. The East Greenwich, RI native appeared in 5 games at Nichols during the 2024 season.
Braden Freeman is a junior infielder from Terry, MS. During his two seasons at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Freeman appeared in 25 games, scoring 21 runs on 7 hits. Before Copiah-Lincoln, Freeman played 11 games for Grambling State University, pitching 9 innings.
Stephen Pearson is a junior two-way player from Kingsborough Community College. Pearson joins the Red Wings from the land down under in Nowra, Australia. In two seasons at Kingsborough, Pearson has pitched 22 games and appeared as a batter in 39. Pearson has 29 innings pitched, with 28 strikeouts. He has also racked up 5 hits, 8 RBIs, and scored 6 runs.
Tim Bowerman is a junior outfielder from Marywood University and Spencerport, NY. Bowerman has appeared in 2 games for Marywood this season. Before Marywood, Bowerman appeared in 22 games, scoring 7 runs on 5 hits in two seasons at Tompkins Cortland Community College.
Brayden Michaelson is a junior infielder from Plymouth State University. Michaelson, a native of Charlton, MA, appeared in 17 games, tallying 10 hits and 8 RBIs at Salem State University this season. Before Salem State, Michaelson appeared in 11 games, scoring 4 runs on 5 hits for Saint Anselm College.
Matt Mady is a junior right-handed pitcher from Monroe Community College. The Rochester, NY native will bring a wily side-arm release to the Red Wings bullpen. In 2024, Mady appeared in 4 games, pitching 4.1 innings, and tallying 4 strikeouts for MCC.
JD Robinson is a graduate infielder from Houghton University. Robinson, a native of Round Hill, VA, will add plenty of experience to the Red Wings' lineup. In two seasons at Allegheny College, Robinson has appeared in 69 games and tallied 78 hits, 50 RBIs, and scored 56 runs, while stealing 15 bases. Robinson has a career batting average of .325 while at Allegheny. Before Allegheny, Robinson played at Virginia Wesleyan University and the Community College of Baltimore County Essex. In 2022 at Virginia Wesleyan, he played 5 games, scoring 5 runs on 3 hits. At CCBC Essex, he appeared in 41 games, scoring 27 runs on 29 hits, with 6 stolen bases and 17 RBIs.
The Red Wings open the 2025 Summer season on the road in Newark on June 3rd at 6:30 pm at Colburn Park. The Red Wings' first home game is June 4th against the Newark Pilots at 6:30 pm at McDonough Park.
