ELMIRA, NY- The Red Wings traveled back to Elmira to resume their previous game, which was suspended due to rain on June 8th, as well as play their regularly scheduled matchup against the Pioneers.

Game one of two on the day resumed in the bottom of the 4th inning with Kannon VanDuzer on the mound for Geneva. VanDuzer would go on to finish out the game for the Red Wings, tallying 6 strikeouts on the day. The Red Wings' offense would not add to their 3 runs scored on June 8th. Overall, the offense was highlighted by Tyler Skaggs and Parker Zieser. Both batters were perfect in the box, going 1-1. Skaggs would add a run scored to his line, and Zieser would add 2 RBIs.
Game two saw the Red Wings dominate early on, scoring 2 runs in the 3rd inning, and following with a run in both the 4th and 5th innings. The Red Wings would add one final run at the top of the 7th to give them a 5-1 lead.
The Red Wings' offensive efforts were led yet again by the likes of Zach Banks, who was a perfect 3-3 with 2 runs and 2 RBIs.
Defensively, Jake Short pitched 6 innings of 1-run baseball. Short would let in one more run in the bottom of the 7th before being pulled from the game. Short’s performance did not go unnoticed and received praise from opposing manager Andrew Drum postgame.
